I am not sure how long I might be able to continue this blog or even Flickr. The Library is becoming more aggressive with the way they define security. Options once available, like your history has been disabled. No longer can a person clear their search history. Information is being activily gathered for purposes and intent not disclosed to patrons. Personal information including but not limited to web sites and passwords are being recorded for who knows what reasons, if any. In short, the Library, once a respected pillar of the community is being used as bait to the currently fashonable concepts of security. The Library is playing vulture to security.
There doesn't seem to be anyone who cares that a wrong is being perpetuated. We are being spied upon, and no one seems to think it wrong.
I'm sorry, but I don't wish to participate in their games. I must consider withdrawing from a potentially dangerous situation, I've my welfare to consider.
I'm not trying to point out the mistakes of others. One cannot argue with fools. Be best, I think, to stay out of fools folly. They know not what they do. They are armed and are to be considered dangerous.
